A 53.5 km Great Walk from Glade Wharf to Sandfly Point, normally completed over four days. Outside the Great Walk season it has snow, ice, flooding, avalanches, removed bridges and greatly reduced facilities.

The Chasm

Visit information: Check DOC alerts before stopping; stay on the present track and do not expect the former bridge-crossing experience

The current modified experience is a 400 m return / 20 minute forest walk ending at the Cleddau River edge and water-sculpted rocks. Former viewing-gallery bridges were destroyed in the 2020 storm.

Homer Tunnel

Lake Marian Falls Track

Lake Marian Track

Visit information: Allow about 1 hour 30 minutes each way; do not walk around the lake edge in winter or spring avalanche season and prepare for mud and stinging nettle

Milford Road scenic stops

From the centre: Stops extend along Milford Road • allow 10–90 min depending on viewpoint

Lake Gunn Nature Walk

An easy 1.4 km forest loop from Cascade Creek through red beech habitat.

Humboldt Falls Track

An easy, well-graded 1.2 km return rainforest walk from the end of Hollyford Road to a Humboldt Falls lookout.
